WhatsApp testing video streaming feature on Beta version

Just weeks after introducing video calling feature on Android its Android platform, WhatsApp is now testing a new video related feature but this time streaming.

This new streaming feature introduced by WhatsApp lets the user to stream or download any video shared to them. When a video is shared to a user, the user gets a play button instead of a download button and when the user click on it, the video starts to buffer. This gives WhatsApp users option to choose when a video is shared because some users would stream videos rather than download.

This video streaming future might not be useful to others but to some it would be a great plus. Some  people would love to stream vidoes on WhatsApp just like Youtube does instead of downloading videos that would fill up your phone memory space in no time. For now, this new WhatsApp feature works only on the beta version of WhatsApp. Click here to download WhatsApp beta.
