Whatsapp Increases Group sizes to 256

 WhatsApp has increased its group limit from 100 to 256persons. The group increase limit was first recorded in Nov 2014 when it first increased its group limit from 50 to 100 persons per group.This development comes to light as Whatsapp now faces stiff competition from Telegram a rival company which also provide the same features as Whatsapp does and has the capacity to house up to 1000 members in a group..

 Recently, Whatsapp removed its yearly subscription and made the app free. Whatsapp made Telegram links inaccessible on its app and most whatsapp users were banned from using Whatsapp as of last month. This new features of Whatsapp  is currently available only in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android v2.12.429 or later and it is expected to roll out for other users and platforms soon.
